Women have raised alarm over the development, with many
even saying if protection for intercourse is shared freely, then pads should be
too.
The reason for
the price hike can be traced to recent inflation in prices of commodities and
the dollar-naira exchange rate hike.
Below is the new scheme of prices:
Everyday brand of
sanitary pads used to sell for N150, now it sells for N260.
Always Ultra used to sell for N250, now it sells for about
N400.
Always Classic which sells for N200 now goes for about N300.
The DIVA brand used to sell for N180 and now it has risen
to N230.
Among the popular brands Lady care which used to sell for N250, now
