prices of sanitary go higher in NIgeria due to high rate of dollar

Women have raised alarm over the development, with many even saying if protection for intercourse is shared freely, then pads should be too.

The reason for the price hike can be traced to recent inflation in prices of commodities and the dollar-naira exchange rate hike.


Below is the new scheme of prices: 

Everyday brand of sanitary pads used to sell for N150, now it sells for N260.

Always Ultra used to sell for N250, now it sells for about N400.

 Always Classic which sells for N200 now goes for about N300.

The DIVA brand used to sell for N180 and now it has risen to N230. 

Among the popular brands Lady care which used to sell for N250, now sells for N400.

Some tampon brands, which used to sell for N750, now go for N1100.
