One Sunday Ushie has confessed to killing his
girlfriend, Nnena Samuel, and having sex with her corpse in Adijinkpor village
in Ikom Local Government Area, LGA of Cross River State of Nigeria.
According to dailypostng, The suspect had
invited the deceased mother-of-two in the night of January 26 and took her to
his apartment.
Ushie, a cocoa farmer in Akparabong, was said
to have killed the woman when she refused to allow him have sex with her.
In his confession before newsmen while being
paraded at the weekend, he said she never gave him the opportunity to have sex
with her while alive, adding that he invited her to his house and killed her
with knife before having sex with the corpse.
In his statement He that “She was my
girlfriend and I knew her for just two months before this incident happened. I
slept with her corpse after killing her.”
“I was always giving her money but she
didn’t allow us to have sex,” the farmer, who said he regretted his action
added, blaming the incident on the devil.
Parading the suspect at the state police
command headquarters in Calabar, the state capital, the acting Commissioner of
Police, CP in Cross River State, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, said it was the landlord of
the deceased that informed the police that his tenant had been brutally
murdered.
“Investigation is ongoing and after which he will be charged to court for murder,” the acting CP added.
My opinion
I think it
is wise not to go alone to a man’s house because one cannot tell when the devil
will enter the man and he thinks of doing something unimaginable. He knew the
woman for two months only and he thought he could have her by giving her money.
