A woman to stay in prison until 2021 for murder attempt

I think she was under satanic influence, what reason had she to roast her daughter in an oven

A 40 year old woman sentenced to 25 years in jail for putting her 14-month-old daughter in an oven has been denied parole this week.

Melissa Wright pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of her daughter in 2003; though she claimed it was accidental.

According to report, Melissa Wright removed the racks out of the oven, turned to broil, waited for it to heat up and then put the head of her daughter into the oven.
It was her father who heard the girl screaming and ran to the kitchen and pulled the girl from the oven.

The girl suffered severe burns and had received more than 25 reconstructive surgeries.

The girl survived the incident and she is now 15 years old. She argued against her mother being released from jail early because she believes she will do the same thing to her niece and nephew who are still at tender ages.

In her statement she said “I honestly do not trust her and I’m afraid for their safety,” she said, “I can’t imagine anybody being in as much pain as I was in… I do not hate Melissa, but I do not love her. I forgave Melissa.”

According to People, the state’s parole board rejected Melissa Wright’s request for an early release on Tuesday, and she will not be eligible for parole again until 2021.
