  Grandmother Outraged After Dog Was Eaten By An Alligator During A Family Walk in the Park
A woman from St. Petersburg and her 18-year-old grandson, Kevin, were taking a walk at Joe's Creek Greenwood Park when suddenly; their dog took off after a rabbit.

The dog followed the rabbit under a hole in the fence, where an alligator was laying unknown to the dog.


according to the report The woman said she heard screams from her grandson and her dog; and moments later the dog died but nothing happened to his grandson Kevin.
"I knew there was a gator out there, but I didn't know it came to the bank like that," the devastated grandmother said.

The woman said she has been going to the park several times a week for the past year, "I just don't think it's safe anymore," she said.

She reported the incident to the park ranger, who said the only thing they would be able to do is to keep an eye out for future incidents.
