RIP: Susannah Mushatt Jones the World's oldest person dies

The new world's oldest person Susannah Mushatt Jones has died at the age 116.
According to the news, Jones’s family said she gave up the ghost after illness for the past 10days on Thursday night in Brooklyn where she had been living. She was 116 years and 311 days old.
She was the last living American born in the 1800s,


Jones was born in a small farm town near Montgomery, Alabama, in 1899 and one of 11 siblings. She attended a special school for young black girls.
Family members have credited her long life to love of family and generosity to others.

The previous oldest person was Jeralean Talley, who died on the 17th June, 2015 at 116 years and 25 days old.
An 116-year-old Emma Morano, from Italy, is a few months younger than Jones, is now the unofficial world's oldest person.
