AMINA WITH HER BABY |
One
of the missing schoolgirls from Chibok has been found in Nigeria and she is the
first person to be rescued since April 2015, when the members of Boko Haram Islamist
group abducted the girls from a secondary school in north-east Nigeria.
The
girl whose name is Amina Ali Nkeki was found by a vigilante group on Tuesday in
Sambisa Forest, close to the border with Cameroon. Amina was recognized by a
civilian fighter that belonged to the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), a
vigilante group set up to help fight Boko Haram.
Aboku
Gaji, leader of the vigilante group in Chibok, said that the girl was
discovered by their vigilantes and was brought to his house. According to the leader
Amina was taken to her parents and relatives who also recognized her and
started shedding tears.
According
to BBC NEWS, the chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja said that Amina was
found into forest where she went in search of firewood.
It
was also reported that Amina was found with a baby and she was 17 years old
when she was abducted
