A woman is facing charges for stealing from a dead man

 Report has it that she stole a wallet from Ronald Lewis Clinard who died in a wreck near her home

According to Police, Brittney McCoy, 26, of Greenbrier use the man’s credit card to buy beer, cigarettes and other items at a nearby store.

She is charged with theft, burglary, and the fraudulent use of a credit card and was arrested and booked for jail on $37,000 bond.

Police said she was the first person to reach the late 67 year old Ronald Lewis Clinard, after he crashed his car near an apartment complex.


Investigators believe she took the wallet before people arrived on the scene, although she claimed she found the wallet lying by a tree

When the wallet was not found at the scene, the family called Clinard’s bank and they were informed about McCoy’s purchases, investigators were notified and they obtained surveillance video of McCoy making the purchases,
