Nigerian Lawyer Demands the Release of Islamic Leader and His Wife

 

Human rights lawyer and counsel to leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Mr. Femi Falana, has written to the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami, demanding for immediate release of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife, Malama Zeenat Ibraheem Zakzaky.

In the letter, which was copied to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, Mr. Femi Falana reminded the AGF of the December 2, 2016 judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja which declared the detention of the couple as illegal and ordered their immediate release from the custody of the State Security Service within 45 days.

611 teachers killed, 1,200 schools destroyed in North-east Nigeria

 

A world leading independent organisation for children, Save the Children, has said that 611 teachers were killed and 19,000 displaced while over 1,200 schools destroyed due to activities of Boko Haram terrorists in the North east Nigeria.

The organisation, which disclosed this in Abuja in a statement by its Media Coordinator, James Bigila, said its research revealed that one school was attacked every two days of the conflict.

It said there is a symptomatic education crisis spread across the Lake Chad region bedeviled by insurgency, leading to about 19.7 million children out of school, which a quarter of the world’s estimated 59 million out-of-school children.

A Miami woman named Kasheena Mordica (left) has been arrested and charged to court for the attempted murder and severing of the leg of another lady, Ashley Weatherspoon (right) who she caught with her husband on Valentine's day. 

The tragic confrontation took place on Val's Day after Mordica found out her husband, Marco Mark was spending the day with Ashley. According to the police, Kasheena ran over Ashley with her car – and her leg was completely severed in the accident. see more picture below

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command, have arrested a lady in Agbor, Delta State, for allegedly drugging her male friend, a medical doctor, in a hotel in Ojodu area of Lagos and carting away his car, laptop and mobile phones.

The lady, Mitchel Harrold, 37, from Warri, Delta State was on Tuesday arrested after the operatives traced her through a car dealer in Lagos, whom she had engaged to help perfect import papers for the stolen Volkswagen Passat Wagon, 2001 model.

One Sunday Ushie has confessed to killing his girlfriend, Nnena Samuel, and having sex with her corpse in Adijinkpor village in Ikom Local Government Area, LGA of Cross River State of Nigeria.

According to dailypostng, The suspect had invited the deceased mother-of-two in the night of January 26 and took her to his apartment.

Ushie, a cocoa farmer in Akparabong, was said to have killed the woman when she refused to allow him have sex with her.

Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler

 Dr. Crumpler was the first African-American woman physician in the United States. Born in 1831, Dr. Crumpler first worked as a nurse in Massachusetts between 1852 and 1860, She was accepted to New England Female Medical College and earned an M.D. in 1864, according to Time. She practiced medicine in Boston and Richmond, Virginia, primarily working with the poor, who had limited access to medical care. In 1883, Dr. Crumpler published a renowned book, Book of Medical Discourses In Two Parts, which many believe is the first medical text written by an African-American author. see more photos below

The wife of Frank Ancona, a Ku Klux Klan leader who had been missing for several days and was found dead on a Missouri riverbank has been charged with murder, along with her son, according to local authorities.

Deputy Jason Chandler of the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department told ABC News that

Malissa Ancona, 44, was arrested Sunday evening on a first-degree murder charge and is being held without bond at the St. Francois County Jail. Her  24-year-old son, Paul Edward Jinkerson Jr., was arrested  and charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, tampering with physical evidence and abandonment of a corpse. He is also being held without bond.

Man requested a naked picture from a teenage girl

 

Jeffrey Sandusky, an adopted son of former Pennsylvania State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, was arrested Monday and charged with sexually assaulting a child.

Police began an investigation in November 2016 after a child claims to have received text messages from Sandusky, asking for naked photographs.

30-year-old Nigerian soldier, Lance Corporal Oge Etudo, has been found guilty of rape and culpable homicide and has been sentenced to death by hanging by an Abuja Court.

The Soldier who was formerly attached to a battalion of the Nigerian Army at Lungi Barracks in Abuja, was found guilty of abducting a lady, whose name was given as Binta Usman Kadede, on March 27, 2014, at Dei-Dei suburb of the FCT.

MOM CHARGED FOR SHOOTING HER CHILD

 

A Virginia woman has been charged with first-degree murder after the fatal shooting of her 6-year-old daughter, reports CBS affiliate WDBJ.

On Saturday night, it was reported that Darla Hise had called Bath County dispatchers multiple times but refused to give her name or an address. Bath County Sheriff Robert Plecker told the station the woman would only say something along the lines of, “I think my daughter has been shot.”
