why must you do this to your fellow woman? Is it because she is dead and you think you can take advantage of her.
It appears that nothing
is sacred for a Texas thief who police say was caught on camera stealing
jewelry from a dead woman. Surveillance shows an unscrupulous theft of what
police say is a ring from the finger of a deceased woman in her coffin. The
female suspect stole the ring before fleeing in a red or maroon Saturn, police
said in a statement. Police in Odessa confirmed to InsideEdition.com reports
that the dead woman was 88-year-old Lois Hicks.
The incident was caught on
video, showing the unidentified woman walking into the room where Lois
Hicks' body lay, in a casket, and taking the ring from the corpse. According to the Odessa American, the woman jerked
the ring off Hicks' hand so hard, it tore Hicks' skin.
Vel McKee, Hicks' daughter, said
the ring was a symbol of love for Hicks' husband who passed away three years
ago. “I can’t believe someone would be that low,” McKee said, "It
makes me sick to my stomach."
The funeral home's
director, Bill Vallie, said this type of gruesome theft happens
occasionally but added surveillance footage also caught images of the woman's
license plate which should be enhanced.
Officials told ABC News that the ring, which is plastic, is worth only
$10.
just $10 only and even it is worth more than this what could she do a thing like this.
