A 20-year-old
man has been arrested after being accused of fatally shooting one teenage girl
and injuring another girl as the two students were walking home from middle
school.
The man who
was identified as Kody Austin Lott has been jailed for murder,
aggravated assault and possession of a prohibited weapon.
According to
News reports, Lauren Landavazo and Makayla Smith, both 13 years old, were
shot Friday afternoon while walking home from their school.
Landavazo
was killed but Smith is in stable condition at a hospital.
Wichita
Falls Police Chief Manuel Borrego says Lott was arrested Sunday afternoon and
he later confessed to the shooting.
The reason for
the shooting has not been found out by the police.
