The US has compensated the family of a Cameroon boy who was killed by a vehicle in UN Ambassador Samantha Power's motorcade.

The boy was fatally hit by the ambassador's convoy in April.

The late Birwe Toussem, was among villagers lined up along a two-way highway to greet the ambassador, the incident occurred when the boy ran onto the street as the motorcade drove by. It was an armoured jeep that struck the boy. An ambulance responded to the scene, but the boy died after the accident.

A formal statement in the murder trial of a New York woman accused of taking part in attack at Word of Life Christian Church last October is resumed.

The attack led to the death of the woman’s half brother and injured another.

According to witnesses, 19-year-old Lucas Leonard sustained a fatal injuries during the attack which lasted for a 14-hour.

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Oscar Pistorius and other relatives have been threatened in an extortion attempt ahead of the former track star’s sentencing on July 6 for the murder of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, Pistorius’ family said Monday.

South African police said they are investigating alleged threats of violence made in WhatsApp messages to Arnoldus Pistorius, a cousin of the double-amputee Olympian.

“We are aware of the allegations,” said Brig. Hangwani Mulaudzi, spokesman for the Hawks, a police investigative unit.

One of the first women to receive a womb transplant is expecting a second child, a medical conference has heard.

Prof Mats Brannstrom, who pioneered the fertility surgery in 2014, made the announcement at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists' annual meeting in Birmingham.

UK doctors have already been given permission to carry out Britain's first 10 womb transplants.

They plan to transplant wombs that have come from dying donors.

The donors will be brain dead but their hearts will still be beating. According to bbc news

In comparison, most of the nine women treated by Prof Brannstrom's clinic in Sweden had their wombs donated to them by their own mothers.

26 years old Maria Kukucova has been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment after the court found her guilty of killing his friend Andrew Bush.

According to the report, the incident took place in Bush’s house on April 5th, 2014 when Bush returned from a trip to his home in Estepona with his new girlfriend. Kukucova, who had been waiting inside the house without Bush's permission, shot him because she became jealous after seeing him with another woman.

A 46, years old woman was attacked by a crocodile during a night swim in Australia’s Daintree National Park on Sunday evening. According to the news, it was reported that the woman was swimming with her friend at Thornton Beach near Cairns in north Queensland when the attack occurred. According to the media reports, the woman was in waist-deep water when she was attacked by a crocodile. All efforts by her friend to rescue her were not successful so she went and notify the authorities and police.

It was also reported that witnesses heard the woman shouting that a crocodile got her during the time of the attack.
